Hi, what are you looking for?

Work from home lunch break ideas to inject energy for the afternoon

Are you one of the millions who have been working from home for the first time over the past 12 months? It could be a thing to stay here for the foreseeable future.

Find yourself excited at the start of each morning of all the time you save by not needing to commute to and from work each day? And not needing to bump into Cheryl in the kitchen in the office each day?

Perhaps your productivity levels have increased in the mornings compared to when you went into the office and found yourselves talking to your colleagues about what you watched on TV the evening before or how your weekends were.

Then do you notice your afternoon goes slow and your work levels drop after lunch? If you’re one of those, here are some tips to keep you motivated for the remainder of the day:

1.    Make the most of your lunch break

It’s imperative that you make the most of your 30-minute lunchbreak in order to get you back on track for work in the afternoon. This could be phoning a friend for half hour or playing games.

These games could be something like Fall Guys or Chess on your PlayStation or online casino games to distract you from work. Slot games are some of the most popular games online, particularly as you can get through a few games during your break.

One of the most popular of those is the option to play Starburst free spins no deposit, meaning you don’t need to pay to play.

2.    Go for a walk

It’s true, the weather’s not been great over the past couple of months. But now we’re heading into spring we’ll see the sun more often, and less rain (fingers crossed). This should be motivation enough to put your trainers on and go for a quick walk on your lunch break.

The fresh air, the natural light and the 30 minutes of exercise will give you a new lease of energy that you can put into your work for the remainder of the day.

3.    Work on a side gig

If you’re working at a computer or laptop for your job then it shouldn’t be a problem to move onto your own side projects during your lunch break.

Whether it’s working on an Amazon Store, Copywriting, blog, whatever your side project is, your aim may be to work on it for an hour or two each weekday. Why not spend 30 minutes of your lunch time working on it?

4.    Social Media time

To help you discipline yourself from being distracted by social media when you’re meant to be working, then dedicate your lunchbreak to check out your friends’ status updates and photos on Instagram etc.

This will really help stop you from checking them when you should be responding to client emails, plus help you make the most of your lunch break in general.
