Don’t miss out – SME business owners to sign up to Peer Networks

Businesses up and down the country are already reaping the benefits of support from like-minded business owners

Registration is open for small to medium sized business owners to take part in Peer Networks and set themselves up for further growth.

Peer Networks is helping to support SME growth nationally by giving business owners the opportunity to work together in small groups to tackle challenges as they navigate through the ongoing pandemic and EU transition.

It has been a challenging time for businesses and as they prepare for 2021 and beyond, sharing these experiences with other likeminded businesses owners in a Peer Network provides the chance to benefit from others knowledge and gain new insights.

Peer Networks is running now, and this is the chance for SMEs to sign up and reap the benefits of support from your local group.

SME businesses across the country are already seeing the benefits of Peer Networks as they come together in small virtual groups to help tackle important opportunities and issues for each other from HR, new technology adoption, finance or marketing.

Kirsti Grayson, director of Go Velo, a Bikeability provider offering cycle training and bike maintenance to children and adults across Lancashire, has benefitted after joining her local Peer Network.

Kirsti said: “Already I’ve learnt so much about the issues other people are facing and I’ve gained confidence in knowing that despite my business being smaller and structured differently to others I still had experiences I could share to help others improve.

“I came away feeling very supported. It’s really making me focus on my business and motivated me considerably.”

Lauren Bailey Rhodes, Operations Director at Transform Lives Company, a Liverpool-based social enterprise specialising in employment and wellbeing, joined Peer Networks to help her business grow.

Lauren said: “I have taken part in professional networking and action learning before. However, straightaway I knew Peer Networks was different.

“I decided to join because it seemed the best fit for me and TLC at the moment because our biggest challenge is getting the word out there and growing our business in the corporate sector.

“As soon as I spoke to our facilitator Phil, I knew this was going to be a really good experience. The first session was great, a good group of people who are going to bring so many different things to the group and already people are starting to help each other out.”

Registration for Peer Networks takes a few minutes, and you can find out more today by visiting www.peernetworks.co.uk. There is no cost for participants to take part.

Peer Networks is being delivered in England locally by the network of Growth Hubs and supported by their respective Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs).

Peer Networks is financed by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and there is no cost to joining for people who take part.
