Counting on a few magical tips to increase the productivity of Mac

MacBook Pro

We understand that working from home can be hectic for you as well as for your Mac!! After all, you have to be on your MacBook for 6 to 10 hours every day.

But, Is your MacBook working that efficiently?

No?

Even if you have been using a Mac for years, you probably have not explored everything it is efficient for. Additionally, the features that it offers can take ages to understand, which is why we are here to help!

Surprisingly, a little optimization in your Mac’s efficiency would make a difference in terms of your productivity!

So, to start with, here are a few quick tips that can boost the productivity of Mac and can help you do more in less time.

Let’s get started!

Stack up your Icons

Is your desktop more like a dumping ground?

Here, stacking up your icons can be the best way to get away with the unwanted files and folders.  Always keep your desktop sorted and handy, where everything is within reach. Otherwise you will always have to keep some time aside only for hunting the files you need.

Try to bring some order by rearranging your desktop with the help of stacks. Follow these simple steps to do the same:

  • Click on the blank area of your screen.
  • Open the view menu.
  • Now, choose “use stacks” to arrange your files and folders.

Say Bye to Clutter

All of those unwanted files that might be grabbing your attention for nothing need to get away. You can try removing them completely if you want to speed up your MacBook. Remember, the only files that you should preferably land up are the files that you use quite often.  Try sticking up to this simple rule that no file should be on your desktop for more than 48 hours before landing up into the right folder in your drive or even trash (if you don’t need it anymore).  Trust us, by doing so, you will enjoy your Mac even more.

Learn Your Shortcuts

You would be surprised that using shortcuts can make a difference in your overall productivity. While Apple provides you with a complete list, some of them are really effective ones.

  • Cmd+W for closing the browser tab
  • Cmd +Space, this shortcut highlights the search bar for better usage.

However, you can also modify the shortcuts or even create your own easily. All you need to do is simply pick system preferences and then the keyboard. Under the shortcuts, you will find the required combinations that can be easily edited.

Try Activating Hot Corners

Well, this option provides you with the simplest solution if you often like navigating around different tabs. To do that- try moving your cursor to the far corner of your desktop. Also, to turn this feature on:

  • Open the Apple menu.
  • Click System Preferences & Mission Control.
  • Click on Hot Corners and select from options available in the drop-down menus for the corners of your desktop.

Wrapping up

That’s all for now! We hope it was helpful, and please let us know if you have any other questions. We would love to guide you through in every possible way. Good Luck!!
